Vegan Haircare for a refreshing start to the day

So…..I thought I would share with you how I am feeling about the new eco-friendly Vegan shampoo and conditioner I’m using. When my old products ran out I knew I wanted to try something different and also look for a product which is more environmentally friendly, so Maui Moisture provided the perfect opportunity to do so.

The shampoo and conditioner I chose was the Maui Moisture colour protection and sea minerals because my hair is coloured.

First off, the smell I absolutely love as it’s more like being in a rainforest than a flower garden which you get with some shampoos and I believe this comes from the addition of the sea minerals, algae and sea kelp to the ingredients. Admittedly that won’t be to everyone’s tastes but I certainly find it refreshing in the morning!

The products themselves Maui state are made with pure Aloe Vera, Coconut Water and are also Vegan. I also like the fact they have:

  • No Silicones

  • No Synthetic Dyes

  • No Sulfated Surfactants

The above I think are so key because they mean that your hair is not stripped of its natural oils or left with toxins in it which can increase irritation and sensitivity, all of which we want to avoid.

Another definite plus of Maui Moisture is that the products are not tested on animals and the packaging is fully recyclable after use, so all in all I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.

Next time for me though, I think I will try their Revive and Hydrate with Shea Butter as it will help put moisture back in my dry damaged hair from all the dyeing I do, rather than just focussing on protecting the colour!
